Apple Watch

Which Apple Watch is Right for You in 2024?

A lot of people, not just in Pakistan but across the world, are interested in an Apple Watch. An Apple smart watch is not only a very useful piece of tech, but it is also, at this point, a fashion accessory to the level of being a statement piece for some people. There is no denying that people buy Apple products as much to show off in Pakistan as they do for anything else.

It was much easier in older times to decide which Apple watch you wanted to get; there were hardly two options to choose from, after all: the big one or the small one. But now, with the introduction of three different models and with multiple variations in each model, it has become more and more confusing which is the right one for you.

Let us help you make a better decision regarding your Apple watch purchase decision.

Getting an Apple Watch in the First Place

Probably the first decision that you should make that may seem obvious, but a lot of people just ignore it is whether the Apple Watch is even the right option for you.

As we said before, the Apple watch has become just as much a statement piece as it is a tool, which means that often people buy them just for the sake of it.

What you must realize is that if you do not already own an iPhone, then the iPhone smart watch is probably not a great idea for you to buy (especially considering the iPhone smart watch price in Pakistan).

Let us explain why. If you are getting something for athletics, there are many other options that do a better job with fitness tracking while often being cheaper than the Apple fitness watch, which is the Apple Watch Ultra.

Secondly, if you own an Android phone or are otherwise in a non-Apple ecosystem, then the watch will be very limited in its functionality as compared to pretty much any other comparable watch.

But, if you happen to be the owner of an iPhone and are already involved in the Apple ecosystem, then there is probably no better option for you in terms of a smart watch than the Apple watch.

Apple Watch Models: Comfort

So you have decided that you do indeed want to get an Apple watch. The next question that comes then is which model you should get.

Well, the first thing that you should consider is what you want from a watch in terms of comfort. What do we mean? These watches are quite expensive; in fact, the Apple Watch price in Pakistan is higher than any other kind of smart watch out there. So, there is no point spending that amount of money and then ending up not wearing the watch at all because it isn’t that comfortable for you to wear.

The first thing that you should think about is what size watch you want to get. This will mainly depend on the size of your own wrist. If you have thinner wrists (if you are a woman, for example), then that automatically takes the Watch Ultra out of the running for you since it only comes in a single 49mm option in terms of size, which will be quite uncomfortable and unwieldy for you to wear.

The other two models, the Watch Series line and the SE line, come in two options each: 41 and 45mm options for the Series watches and 40 and 44mm for the SE watches. Here, it really comes down to personal choice, but as a general rule, smaller is better for smaller wrists, obviously.

The other major comfort factor is, of course, straps. Overall, the best option that Apple offers in terms of comfort, in our opinion, is the Nylon strap for the simple reason that it will be the most breathable option. But the silicon is also a great second option as long as it isn’t very hot wherever you are.

Apple Watch Models: Features

The other major thing that is worth thinking about, although not nearly as major if you ask us, is what features you want in a watch. The reason we say that this isn’t as major of an issue is because most of Apple’s feature set is associated with the software, which is more or less the same across watch options. So, the only thing really to note is some hardware-related differences.

The watch SE has most of the major features that the Series line of watches has, like fall detection and emergency call, which makes it a good option considering the Apple Watch Series price in Pakistan compared to the price of the SE.

But it lacks the always-on display and some sensors like the temperature and EKG sensors. If you ask us, the majority of people do not even really need these special sensors in their day-to-day lives and only ever end up using them once or twice.

There is a smaller screen, though. The screen sizes increase as you go up in price, with the Series being larger than the SE and the Ultra being larger than the Series. But even the smallest one is perfectly usable, in our opinion.

The only reason that you should consider the Ultra, in our opinion, is if you are a hardcore sports enthusiast and yet still want the interface, ecosystem and overall experience that Apple offers. Otherwise, there is really no reason for the average person to go for the Ultra unless you absolutely want a large battery, something the Ultra is particularly good at.

Closing Thoughts

With how high the Apple smart watch price in Pakistan tends to be, it would be a great idea to carefully deliberate on your options before making your purchase decision. For most people living in Pakistan, it might not even be beneficial for them to get an Apple branded watch.
